Technical Analysis Topic: Bearish Candle Patterns
Determining “tops”, or peaks of an upward move, can help us time our exits as well as our short entries. One of the most popular techniques to identify tops is to look for bearish candle patterns. Bearish candle patterns can be just one bar patterns, like a Shooting Star or Gravestone Doji. Or they can be multiple bar patterns, like a Bearish Harami or a Dark Cloud Cover pattern.
These bearish candle patterns provide us with lower timeframe information that can help us determine when we may be seeing the end of an upward trend and even when we may be beginning a downward trend.
