While there are many relative strength indicators available, one of the easiest and most reliable is the Mansfield Relative Strength indicator. Mansfield Relative Strength was used by Stan Weinstein in his famous book “Secrets for Profiting in Bull and Bear Markets”. One of the advantages of Mansfield Relative Strength is that it is simple to interpret. If the indicator is above zero, it is outperforming the general market. If it is below zero, it is under performing the general market.
