However, adding volume analysis to your trading arsenal can also provide you with an additional edge. One way you can use volume is to analyze Volume Flow. Volume Flow looks at the change of typical price and uses standard deviation to determine a cutoff of extreme volume events. The calculation then uses “directional” volume to sum up positive volume bars vs. negative volume bars.
